Recently I have been hearing about people having destination weddings in the Nashville, TN area.     It is a beautiful part of the USA and is near the Smokey Mountains. The mountains would be an amazing backdrop for wedding photos so I can understand why brides would choose the Nashville area for a destination wedding.  Check out this postcard I found online of the Smokey Mountains.

Visiting Barcelona - Why Not Consider a Homestay?

As someone who loves to travel I am always on the lookout for travel tips to the destinations I visit.  In researching a possible trip I came across a site called The World Travel Guide and was really impressed with travel tips and information that I found.  They had some beautiful travel photos also.  I especially enjoyed the photos of Greece.  Greece is on my list of places I would like to visit but unfortunately I have not made it there yet.  So check out the World Travel Guide and let me know what you think by leaving a comment below.

Best Time To Visit Spain Beaches

I have always wanted to visit Spain especially the cities of Barcelona and Madrid and of course the souther beach coast call the Costa Del Sol which I think in Spanish means coast of the sun. I don't have anything planned yet but I was taking a look on line to see what the Spanish Weather is like at different times of the year. From my research it looks like if you are looking for nice beach weather, which I would be, then July and August are definitely the best times of the year for that. I also came across this beautiful poster of the spanish coastline and beach and it looks like a beautiful place to visit.

Michigan MI Winter Snow On The Trees Scene Card from Zazzle.com

I love this Michigan winter snow on the trees snow scene.    The white snow on the trees almost gives the photo a black and white effect.   As a lifelong Michigan resident I have grown to enjoy seeing the snow every year. It is beautiful when it covers the grass and trees that are dormant during the winter time.

Deerfield Beach Florida

I love the town of Deerfield Beach, Florida, which is located about 30 minutes north of Ft. Lauderdale. My favorite thing about it are the palm trees lining the mile long beach. It is somewhst of a quiet beach town and I have really enjoyed the couple of trips I have taken there.

Las Vegas Wedding Postage

I love the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign at the end of the Las Vegas Strip.  Apparently so does everyone else because everytime I have driven by it there are about 10 or 20 people out taking photos in front to the sign.  I took this photo of the Las Vegas sign on a trip there in October of 2010.  On that trip I was attending the Blogworld Conference so I stayed at the Mandalay Bay where the conference was being held.  


Other than attending the conference I also toured the Red Rock Canyon which was beautiful and attended the  Viva Elvis Cirque Du Soleil show.  Be sure to read my travel reviews on both.

Old Movies

One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is to watch old Christmas movies. Films like “It’s A Wonderful Life” and “A Christmas Carol” really make the holidays complete. We have direct tv, and there are so many channels that during the holidays there are countless movies on television. I think one of the reasons I enjoy these films is because they remind me of Christmas when I was a child. I have little children of my own now, and I hope that the memories that they are making are as lasting as the ones that I made as a child with my parents. Christmas was always a really joyful holiday at our house. My own mother loved to bake, and Christmas time meant delicious baked goods for our house as well as the neighbors. Christmas has always been my favorite holiday, and one of the ways I know it is here is to see the classic Christmas programs show up on TV again. Some channels are even playing a different Christmas movie every day up until Christmas. I love the holidays.

Recently I was looking at my photos from a trip to Prague in the Czech Republic in October of 2008.    I think that Prague has to be one of the most beuatiful cities that I have ever visited.  I just ordered myself a Prague 2012 Calendar

Europe 2012 Calendar

This 2012 Europe Calendar contains photos from some of my favorite places in Europe including Prague, Czech Republic, Dresden, Germany, Austria, Venice, Italy, and London, England.  I don't think England is technically considered part of Europe but it is close enough to Europe (and far enough from my home in the USA) that I consider it part of Europe.  I hope you enjoy the photos.
